He was born in Naxos in 1931. He studied sculpture at the Athens School of Fine Arts (1956-1960) under the guidance of M. Tompros. He continued his studies in bronze casting at B. Bearzi's foundry in Florence (1962-1964). He also pursued independent studies in painting in Florence and became familiar with the technique of fresco painting in Fabriano, under the guidance of F. Lorandi.\n\nHis sculptures, created in plaster, clay, wax, bronze, and wood, primarily focus on the human form, which appears in compositions or fragmented. He transitioned from the realism of his early sculptural works to pieces with abstract and generalized elements, although natural forms can still be recognized within them. His work also shows influences from archaic sculpture and expressionism. The subject matter of his paintings includes portrait compositions, pastoral landscapes, ancient ruins, doves, musical instruments, and combinations of these themes.
